Playing Hardball

Have you changed since you were16? Yes, of course. Your experiences reshaped and enriched some of your beliefs. That’s a good thing. Intellectual growth is founded on assimilating new ideas and facts to inform one’s opinions and decision making, So why do people who testify to “waking” up object to politicians whom they dislike changing their opinions?
It’s a one way street political tactic. Consider the left’s cherished Trump as Nazi meme. Despite Democrats' spitting Hitler vehemence on display from 2016 until recently, Maine Democrats chose an actual Nazi to challenge Susan Collins. Connecticut senators Dick Blumenthal, Chris Murphy, and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts openly, vociferously supported Nazi Graham Platner.
Why did and how could Dick, Chris, and Elizabeth whirl 360 degrees to support their own real Nazi and not have to resign in shame? In Connecticut, we can only guess why they did it, but we know how they did it. The media runs interference for the Democrat party; sometimes clumsily disguised as opinion/editorial remarks. So Democrats in Connecticut are free to avoid real public political forums, which means they don’t have to debate or to explain.
Seeing as the Connecticut Democrats are allergic to tough forums and debates, why did Martha Marx demand equal radio time and then not use it? Playing hardball as one supporter wrote? Or subverting the free speech system?
Here's my question for Senator Marx, Representative Nick Menapace, and all state-level Democrats: if all Republicans must own Trump in state and town politics, you own Graham Platner. Why didn't you disavow him?
